Goodbyeology!

Yay, hooray and LET'S GET CRUNK! I have just finished my last final!! Good. LAWD. My brain is so tired. I kept dreaming about glycolisis, electron transport chains, and DNA/RNA all night long. Then I went for my run when I got up, trying to remember how the hell to differentiate between the Krebs Cycle and the Calvin Cycle, and how to draw each. Between taking breaks to review my notes and taking breaks to sit down from my constant nausea, I took forever getting ready this morning and waltzed into class only three minutes late, but the last one to start the test. And, like always, the last one to finish. It's been that way for me in all of my classes, not just biology, but oh well. I'm an old lady; I can't keep up with these youngins. But I'm done. Finito. SO HAPPY! I get to bust across the stage tonight for my graduation, where I'll be a getting an Associate's of General Studies. Which just makes me laugh hysterically because to "focus" on general studies is beyond lame, but it was a super-crafty path the college offers to those of us mathphobes who want to delay the torture of algebra (and for me, three levels of pre-algebra! Puke.) while still able to achieve a two-year degree. I can worry about math later. Even more exciting than the graduation? Is that I am eating cake tonight!! Not because I wanted a graduation cake, but because I just WANT CAKE. CAKE, CAKE, CAKE. We picked it up yesterday and had the bakery write "Finally!!" across the top, and believe me, I am not above fighting the kids for a corner piece. I am trying to keep it pretty light diet-wise the rest of the day since all of my calories and then some will be consumed tonight (did I mention the pizza and ice cream? I'm such a child.) with my Graduation Meal, but it will be totally worth it. Back on the health bandwagon tomorrow, but tonight, the Chickpea and I will have our cake, and we will LOVE IT.

Congrats to you, dear sister. This is a true accomplishment. And hey, maybe the Chickpea will pick up some of the pre-Algebra through osmosis.By the way, a Chickpea is also a Garbonzo bean. Keeping with the nick-name track in this family, I think "Bonzo" is in order--Boonzie and Bonzo.
